De Laurentis was purchased in 2001 at the Hengst Kouring in Verden Germany. He was selected for his kind temperment, beauty, movement, and excellent bloodlines. De Laurentis successfully completed his performance test on Oct 2nd 2002. Highlights of his test were: Character 9, Temperment 9, Willingness 9, Constitution 9, Walk 9.17, Trot 8.73 Canter 8.33. His jumping style was more hunter like than the jumper form they prefer, reflected in his scores of 6 to 7.67. |

| De Laurentis' Pedigree
His sire De Niro (pictured left) is a Donnerhall/Akzent II son, who scored 145.41 in rideability at his 100 day test, finishing 2nd out of 50 stallions. De Niro is a successful sire and Grand Prix dressage horse, at only 8 years of age winning the Grand Prix Special with a top score of 73.22.
De Laurentis' dam "Chippy" is the full sister to the dam of "Dacaprio" by Davignon. Her sire "Caprimond" scored 147.76 in rideablility at his testing finishing in first place out of 56 stallions. He is also a successful Grand Prix dressage horse, currently being shown by the 12-year old daughter of Burkhard Wahler. Caprimond was 1998 Stallion of the Year. |

| Impressive First Foal Crop
The first foals by De Laurentis were born in the US in 2004. The foals already exemplified the exceptional quality and movement of their sire. Most notable was the excellent articulation of the hind leg and correctness of gaits. This beautiful filly pictured at left was bred by Nancy Murray, and was out of a Charon/Brentano dam. |

This is "Diamond Mine, by De Laurentis out of Royal Gem (Royal Diamond). He won the Colts of 2004 class with an 82.3%, was Colt Champion, Young Horse Champion, and "Best Foal in Show" at the Good Horsemen Breeder's Showcase. |
